The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 Result 2026 in the third week of May. More than 18 lakh students across India are waiting for their scorecards. The exams were held from February 17 to April 10.
CBSE has not yet confirmed the exact date and time. However, officials say the result process is moving as planned. Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj told PTI that reports of technical glitches in the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system are “far from facts.”
Once released, the results will be available on official websites such as results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. Students can check their marks by entering their roll number, school number, admit card ID, and date of birth.
Around 10.2 lakh boys and 8.3 lakh girls appeared for the exams this year. The board is currently completing evaluation and result processing work.
CBSE will also provide options for verification of marks, rechecking, and re-evaluation after the results are declared. Detailed instructions will be shared at that time. The board follows a moderation policy to ensure fairness. Grace marks may be given in some cases, such as difficult papers or when a student is close to passing.
Important Note: The result is important for college admissions and career planning. Students are advised to keep their login details ready and check official websites regularly. CBSE is expected to announce the final result date and time in the coming days.
